What images work best?

High-contrast black-and-white drawings. Logos, stamps, handwriting on a plain background, and simple icons trace cleanly. Soft photos do not.

Why BMP or PBM instead of PNG?

This tracer is built for bitmap line art in BMP or PBM. Export or convert your drawing to one of those first if you only have a PNG.

Can I edit the SVG later?

Yes. An SVG is paths, not pixels. Open it in Figma, Illustrator, or Inkscape and scale it without it going fuzzy.
