Operation details
What happens: pdfcpu reads the source PDF, selects only the page numbers you list, and writes them in that order into a new PDF. Omitted pages are dropped; selected pages are copied without rasterizing.
Engine: pdfcpu 0.15.0 collect.
Inputs: One PDF up to 80 MB. Page selector string such as 3, 1, 4-6, 2 (comma-separated numbers and ranges).
Output: A new PDF containing only the chosen pages in the requested sequence. Vector text, fonts, and images are preserved.
Lossy? No — structural page copy, not recompression.
Common failures: Invalid page numbers, empty selection, encrypted PDFs pdfcpu cannot open, or oversize uploads.
Use when: You need to delete blank scans, reorder chapters, or pull a subset of pages into a briefing PDF.
