What DXF files work here?

ASCII DXF drawings up to 40 MB, as exported by AutoCAD, BricsCAD, LibreCAD, Fusion, FreeCAD, and most other CAD tools. Binary DXF is not accepted.

Which entities appear in the preview?

Lines, polylines, circles, arcs, ellipses, splines, solids, hatches, blocks and inserts, plus text placeholders. The drawing is auto-framed, so you always see the whole sheet.

Does this give me an editable CAD file?

No. You get a flat PNG picture of the drawing, not a converted DXF. Use it when you need a quick preview or an image to share.

How to get a CAD drawing preview

What you get

A 640×640 PNG image of your drawing on a white background. The extents of the geometry are measured and the whole drawing is scaled to fit, so a title block and a machine detail both come out framed. Block inserts are expanded in place and curves are drawn as smooth polylines.

Limits worth knowing

Only ASCII DXF is supported — if your CAD app saved the file as "Binary DXF", re-export it as ASCII. Line weights, colors, hatches fills, and text fonts are simplified to outlines, so the preview is for orientation, not for measurement. If you need to inspect or edit the geometry, use a desktop CAD application instead.
